Coming Soon by jens21

( French Connection stripe dress & Bankfashion Kitsch Couture Miley Leopard Shoe Boot | Therapy Dress Stripe Tunic & Asos Pumpkin Suede Pointed Court Shoe | Izabel Zig Zag Sheer Dress & PIERRE BALMAIN Canvas Wedge | Oasis long sleeve dress & Violet Chelsea Boots )

Coming soon, within the next few weeks (and months) I've got a lot of social events organised, so I'm currently on the look out for the perfect outfit(s). I'm completely obsessed with the bodycon'esk long sleeved dresses and the heeled shoe boots, so I've put together a few opitions over on Polyvore to help me find an outfit.

I totally love all of these dresses, but as you might know if you read my last post, I currently have red ombre'd hair, So I think I might need to go for one of the black and white dresses for the first events and leave the brighter dresses for a few months away, when I'm sure my hair with have changed by.

So wish me luck in my hunt for the perfect outfit, and I will of course keep you all updated with what I decided to wear.

Sometimes we don’t even get the choice

Sadly that’s one of the down sides to living in Scotland, our weather often doesn’t even give us a choice about what we wear. For example, today Scotland was issued with a Red Weather warning, apparently we saw winds of up to 90mph. St Andrews, where I live, wasn’t the worst hit but we still had it pretty bad, my garden even lost a tree.

So due to the crazy Scottish weather, of which today it was most definitely crazy. We just don’t get the chance to wear that super cute new jacket we own. Today I had no other choice but to pull out my Roxy Snowboarding Jacket, (and matching hat of course) to allow me to brave the outdoors.

But in all honestly, I guess this is where Secret-Style really comes into play. Even when I have to wear the snow gear, (which is mainly on the slopes, where looking good it still high on my list of priorities) I’m all about the colours, prints and matching items. So stay strong this chilly winter, wrap up warm, but don’t forget to do it with style.

Great as a added spark to a plain outfit or even, if your brave enough, as a statement piece. So I thought I’d show you just what I’m loving about this famous print, and great ways to add them to your outfits.

1.Scarf : windsorstore.com (but can be found all over the high street) 2.Cuff : New Look 3.Watch : Timex 4.Loafers : Asos 5.Clutch : Warehouse 6.Boots : Zara 7.Leather Jacket : Asos

And Just to prove my love for the print, check out my shoes of choice today.

“I’m the star of the show. I should have a decent haircut.”

It may seem a little behind the times, but I’ve decided to jump on the Ombre Hair bandwagon. I’ve admired the style on many celebrities such as Drew Barrymore, Rachel Bilson, Jessica Biel, Shenae Grimes and Lauren Conrad to name a few.

So What is this messy yet sexy look? Ombre hair is accomplished by creating a dark root and then extending downward to a lighter tip. It may appear like we’ve become too lazy for a touch-up, but I can assure you most are doing it on purpose. In my option it unique, cool and super easy. So let those roots keep growing ladies!

A quick note about how I did it, super easy. I used the Garnier Nutrisse Highlights kit. I basically just put the dye on the tips of my, once the time was complete I repeated the process but only applied to dye half way up, this I think was the tip to creating the gradual colour effect. See super easy, why don’t you try it yourself.

Dressember: all dressed up and nowhere to go.

(image via EleganceHunter)

Long gone are the days when a Lady was expected to wear a formal dress and present themselves in the correct manner. Not that Im complaining of course, I love the freedom of current fashion and style, and Im partial to the odd jeans and hoodie day.

But when you really think about it, how often fo you don a dress, other than that special occasion. Well thats where the idea of Dressember comes from, I heard about Dressember from another fashion bloggers site, ForeverAmber. Amber took on the challenge of wearing a dress everyday in December of last year, and she has some great images to prove how well she did, check them out on her site. Dressember has now grown and grown with many females attempting the challenge, there is even a Facebook Group where, if you decided to get involved you can post your pictures or just show your intrest. You can find Dressember all over the internet with a simple google search, I’d suggest a look at the Flickr group for some dressy inspiration.

So, Dressember, it got me thinking…personally I love buying dresses, maybe even a little more than I love wearing them. So it looks like I’m the perfect candidate. Sadly due to the nature of my job it’s not really practical for me to wear a dress everyday of December. But I’m definitely keen to get involved, so heres my plan. I’ve decided my input for Dressember with be, at least, one dress outfit each week. You will be able to keep up to date with my personal Dressember here on the blog, I’ll post a weekly update for you all.

Let me know if you too are doning a dress for Dressember, enjoy.

We’re Always Searching For New Ways to Pass The Time

I have found the ultimate shopping wish list online experience. FantasyShopper is an online shopping experience with a difference, no real money passes hands. Imagine buying your dream item, styling an outfit, (digital) window shopping and getting paid to do so. Well on Fantasy Shopper you do, sort of. While your online, you can collect your Fantasy cash, in your Pay Day. You can then use your Fantasy cash to ‘buy’ items from the online shops on the site, these inculde, A/Ware, New Look, Office to name a few. Your new items are then stored in your online wardrobe, which other users can view, and even choose you follow you if they like your style. You can use your items from your wardrobe to style outfit for events, this too earns your extra Fantasy cash. Once your completely caught up in the world of Fantasy Shopper (like I now am.) you can share your outfits, wardrobe, new purchases with your friends on Facebook or twitter.

“But whats the point?” I can hear you all say, I think anyway, that this is the new way to plan that party outfit, browse the online stores before dipping into your bank account, your real life one that is. I’m deffinfitly going to be using Fantasy Shopper as my new online style wish list.

I’m hocked, why not have a look for yourself.

We Are The Owls, wrapping us up this winter

We are the owls have brought out some new designs for winter’11, I stumbled across these designs online originally at NET-A-PORTER This circus inspired collection of cashmere scarves has a great minimal design to them mainly using the white, blacks and red, and on first glance they could be mistaken for a real poster. While this is true, they still look great draped around the neck.

My personal favourite has to be, Welcome to the Circus. But sadly these master pieces are retailing around the £200 mark. So I might need to add this to my Santa list and keep my fingers crossed.

Winter Warmer

Since we are fast approaching what has be said to be a cold winter, colder than last year even, I decided to pull out my favour winter warmer item.

I actually purchased this Faux Fur Snood from h&m near the end winter last year so didn’t get too many opportunities to wear it. So I’m definitely going to make up for it this winter season. I Love this snood, its cosy and so versatile can be worn with many looks. I’m excited to get some wear out of this winter warmer.
